25 years old speakers / still available todfay

What would be your choice of a 25 years old floorstanding speaker STILL available today.

My choice would be the Dynaudio Consequence// no matter what color.

Heard those in the 80s with Primare 928 mono blocks & preamp.

I would love to hear a properly setup and driven pair of the Khorns. Good choice Julian.

I went looking for brand new speakers and ended up with monitor versions of the Quad 63s. So I guess that would be my answer to this. They're almost still available today as the Quad 2805.

I knew within a minute of hearing them that I'd found what I'd been looking for.

Its amazing that 25 years old speakers are available till now. Now a days new woofer system is good sound blaster.

A good friend of mine (who also posts here - Triode Pete) has original Klipshorns. Yeah, they do some things that other speakers can only dream of.

I have an old pair of Apogee Duetta sigs that probably fall into this category too. No, Apogees aren't made anymore, but you can get old ones completely rebuilt with new ribbons and such with parts from Apogee. Does that qualify?

Certainly some old Thiels might fit into this category too.

I had the Apogee Duetta and loved them. Wonderful speaker.
