A long and well deserved win for Toyota, Alonso now has two of three crown jewels all racers covet (only missing the Indy 500). He's now arguably the greatest current racer of his generation, had his Honda powered indy car not grenaded in the closing laps of the last year 500 he was def the favorite to take it. Speculation is rife he'll leave F1 for indycars in '19 to pursue a win at the 500.
It was cool to see Porsche pay homage to their roots and bring back the Rothman's livery and the 'pink pig' last seen on their one-off 917 from the '71 Le Mans race. IMO, had Porsche or Audi made even a half-ass attempt in LMP1 for this years over-all honors, Alonso would have likely been in the wrong car.
