I got a chance to hear these today at David Baskin's place,Design Audo Video.

Wow, I can definitely see what the fuss is about, these things sound great and seem to have a different sound than I'm used to.

Overall, a really great time listening :celebrate008_2:

Extension to 18Hz on the bottom and 99 dB/Watt from a point-source driver. How could they sound like anything else, when nothing is in that class! Haven't had the pleasure of hearing Westminsters myself, but I'm a huge fan of Tannoys, and so far my experience is the bigger the (much) better. Running Canterbury SE 2 years now, but would get Westminster in a heartbeat if I ever struck it rich (Westies before car, house, women, etc).

I agree with you Mark. They sound great and most of all very different of what you know. I auditioned a couple of years ago and was totally impressed with some percussion and drums but couldn't get some other pieces that I know well. I wouldn't buy them because of that and because to my taste they look like some bird cages from the 1950's but I can see why people love it.

Yep. High WAF everywhere in the world. Somebody let me know if they disappear as sound sources and I will really be impressed.
LOL
You are hilarious!

They do Mark.

That's truly impressive. Those speakers are so huge I don't know how you could take your eyes off of them when you listen to music and not hear them as the source.

I was listening to them with a Musical Fidelity Nu Vista 800 integrated and an Accuphase CD player

I know what you mean, they're HUGE.

I would love to hear David's setup. I know he plans to try them with Air Tight tubes, also.
