Jim, you sent me a private email question which I have tried to respond to several times now and keep getting some king of "token error". So, I am just going to answer your question here since it does not contain any private information.

Based on your comments I changed my original order to Sigma XC from Alpha XC.

Shortly I will be placing a order for a Sigma v2 NR cable for my DAC.

My question is what improvements did you make in the Denali v2 NR cables that would place them above my current Alpha NR and Alpha Digital cables that I had initially planned on using on the Vivaldi Upsampler and Clock?

Jim I responded to this message but it looks like the system ate my response some kind of token error. Whatever that means.

I am assuming that you meant Delta v2 NR from above??

If so, then yes I would put the Delta v2 above both the Alpha (v1) NR and the Alpha Digital. I recommended the Delta to save some money so that you could go with the Sigma v2 XC on the Everest which I consider to be very important. Also, the purely digital devices are less sensitive to quality of the cables (clock and upsampler) so the Delta should be fine for those applications. Is the Alpha v2 or Sigma v2 better, of course. But I would rather you spend the extra money saved from the Delta v2 cables on the DAC. Get the best you can afford for the DAC. It will really make a difference.

What improvements are in the v2 cables? VTX-Ag wiring is the biggest and most fundamental difference. A center core of pure silver for transit speed and clarity with a concentric surround of OFE copper for power and tonal richness. The best of silver and of copper without the weaknesses of either.

Then, although the Delta is the least expensive in the "Reference Line" it still gets all the good features including the CopperCONN connectors. Pure OFE copper contacts with a flash of nickel to protect from corrosion. Just putting CopperCONN connectors on any cable will improve its performance to the next model level all by itself.

Then, the v2 NR filters have been improved. The measured noise reduction is the same but the sonic qualities have been improved. Cleaner, more pure and more clarity.
