VAC Master Preamp fuse holder
Anyone have a Master that's changed the fuse? Or maybe other VAC models are similar. I'm forgetting if the fuse holder comes all the way out or just part way and the fuse has to be inserted/taken out...

Re: Revelation Audio Labs - closed?
Brad has been running auctions for umbilicals on Agon just recently. After bidding and getting outbid and forgetting to monitor the end — I’m glad I did — a couple of hours later I received a “second...

Re: AV RoomService-EVP (Equipment Vibration Protectors)
I use 3 with my Lampi TRP too, but that's only because I'm hesitant to take off the feet that come with, which are supposed to be an isolating product. I use four under everything else, though, based...

Re: AV RoomService-EVP (Equipment Vibration Protectors)
If that platform’s bottom has threaded holes then Gaia 1’s would work. The Music Room advertises them for $430/4 (hifishark.com) and you might do better asking them what they’d be willing to do for...

Re: AV RoomService-EVP (Equipment Vibration Protectors)
How much do your subs weigh? The Music Room in Colorado has good prices on the Gaia models and HiFi Shark is a good place to watch for the used and sometimes new market.

Here's a couple more close up. The Oppo ones are LD, and note that the (68 lb) speaker front right one (HD) has a neoprene washer on top for leveling and looks displaced a bit about halfway up. They...

Re: AV RoomService-EVP (Equipment Vibration Protectors)
While subs are not a bad place to start, I’ve found them about equally helpful under everything, especially everything that’s on the floor (speakers) and bottom shelf. Four are usually better than...

Re: AV RoomService-EVP (Equipment Vibration Protectors)
Your example of used car prices right now misses that new car prices are being pushed up by the shortage of computer chips, a direct result of the pandemic. In turn, that has pushed demand into the...

Re: AV RoomService-EVP (Equipment Vibration Protectors)
Strange. In April, Norm explained the price increase to me as introductory price vs regular one. I purchased slightly blemished production, which kept the price as what it was.

@elliotg, Sell what you had or sell them generally -- and if the latter, in what capacity? What I'd like to keep track of is when Norm has sales, since they are not announced on his website.

I’ve used the cheap 2x2 isolator blocks mentioned here for quite some time in various capacities, both alone and in conjunction with Isoacoustics disc style isolators. I was able to recently compare...

Not obvious to me why those should affect the sound in normal carpeted situations, unless maybe the speaker weight is on the lower end of the Gaia’s, the floor is particularly bouncy, the carpet very...

Star Sound Tech Sistrum Apprentice: Anyone use the 2.3" platform (SA-102-3)?
In looking for reviews and forum discussions about the Sistrum Apprentice platforms, everything is about the 3.3" model, SA-103-3. I'm wondering if there are any current or former 2.3" 102-3 owners....

Glad you enjoy the Maestro, as I did as well (now use Furutech rhodium). However, it's not "most everything," but everything (humans included) that has a sound signature, although at least the tonal...

It looks like you changed or augmented the power connector for the main board. Can you post a picture of what you did?
