Audio Dealers

Guys,

I thought I'd use this thread as a "re-introduction", since I've been a member for a while now, but only recently came to "the other side" :D

The story is that a good friend of mine here in Brazil is moving out of the country, and asked me if I'd like to help him with his local (brazilian) audio import business.

Since I like the way he does business, and his brand lineup, I thought I'd add another business to my list, so I accepted it!

Now I'm responsible for an importer of hi-end audio gear in Brazil, called German Audio. Why this name? Well, it started with mostly german brands, but since he eventually branched out to other companies, but kept the name... And now, 5 years later, it's a little bit late to change it, as the brand is widely recognized here...

I hope to keep participating here, just as I always did!

Thanks,
Alexandre

We're mostly a manufacturer looking for international distribution, but we do sell whole systems directly to clients here in France.

Good luck with the move and all the best with the new venture!

Hello Alexandre,

John Barker was the Audiopax and Avantgarde dealer there in the early 2000s.

Is he involved in your enterprise in any way?

Congrats on your new venture!

Alexandre, congrats and wish you much luck on your new venture!

Very interested in the part of the 'highly curated selection of vinyl records'. Will the store have a website to sell these records?

Congrats again!

Jim,

On the distribution front, no. We're the sole distributor. I understand Silvio (the head of Audiopax) has some local help in the San Francisco area, but I don't know everybody there, so maybe John is involved in that aspect.
We're signing up dealers at this point, so John is welcome to get back onboard, if he's reading this :)
As a side note, we're dealers for Avantgarde, and we'll have a dedicated room for the pairing (Audiopax+Avantgarde)! We're waiting for the first batch of Audiopax gear, but once it's here, I'll post pics!

Allen,

Unfortunately, no. Actually our purpose is to bring the joy of record shopping back, with quality LPs that you hardly see in physical stores anymore, since the store owners just list everything up on eBay and don't even put them on the shelves anymore...
But if you have any specific wants, for both old or new LPs, please let me know and I'll keep an eye out for them for you! We're all crazy LP collectors here, and we're always digging for gold :)

Thanks,
Alex

Alexandre...congrats on Alma Music and Audio's launch and good luck with the new venture. Are you going to stick with the FB page as the primary on-line access point or will there be an Alma Music and Audio separate website setup to showcase the store/rooms etc...?

cmalak,

We're working on the website. We've hired a professional photographer to shoot the different rooms/environments, but since we haven't finalised the rooms (still waiting for gear...), we're a little behind with the website...

If you all don't mind amateur iPhone pics, I'll post some up in a bit :)
