I definitely have gear that I miss from over the years. My old MSB transport and DAC, speakers from Audio Note and Norh, and some of the classic Sonic Frontiers gear all come to mind, but there is much more if I really think about it. Honestly I don't think I necessarily miss it strictly based...

All the dealers and company reps I've spoken to about this situation say they would love to weather the storm and keep pricing flat... but can only do so for so long. Once current inventory is sold through, I suspect we will see increases, no matter the best intentions of the dealer/manufacturer.

No experience with their actual severs (yet) but I can say their USB cable is top notch. Not exactly cheap but also not up there with the most expensive USB options either. But man does it sound great in my system.

Responding to my own thread, seems desperate I know... but I just realized that the few posts I've made in the last week or so all show "waiting for moderator approval" or something along those lines. So apparently nobody can see them yet? Is there anything else I need to do in order to get up...

Very fond memories here of the Stratus Gold i set from back in the day, and later the Synchrony One which had me questioning why I would ever need to spend more on a speaker. I eventually moved on but have great respect for PSB based on those models. I did hear some other, much more affordable...

For me, they both have potential to sound amazing. It really just depends on the setup and how fine-tuned everything is. It can be easy to do one type better than the other... which is probably why some people seem adamant about their preference being best. I've experienced that in my own system...
