Can a K01XD be upgraded to the SE version? If yes about how much and how long does it take?

Does anyone know if you use an external dac with the k01xd do the filters settings make a difference or not? Does it just go over raw or processed based on the filter settings set in k01xd?

For a power cord to breakin quicker does it need music playing for the component it is used on? Or does the cable breakin at same rate if component is in standby or on and playing music?
