SOS, QoBuz should have kept their amazing PR man, David Solomon.

Why I hate the loss of analog television broadcasts in America.

You're right about the television converting an analog signal it received to digital (and probably did utilize that capability back at the time) but it's more likely to be receiving a digital signal nowadays.

Why I hate the loss of analog television broadcasts in America.

Where are you that you receive an analog television signal? From what I've read analog broadcasts are uncommon and possibly used only by smaller broadcasters in less populated areas. Most over the air signals are transmitted digitally afaik.

    Any Marantz PM-10 users?

It's been a few years since I had the PM-10. I guess I just felt it was a bit analytical at the time. I went from class-D (the Marantz) to a class-A integrated (a Vitus integrated). I'm using the same Harbeth 40.2 speakers but have made some cabling changes. I really don't have any complaints...

    New 600 Series

$40,000 per mono amplifier sure seems like a typo in the context of the other prices listed, but it's written twice.

    New 600 Series

They look great but this description is a little overboard: "A collection of the finest amplifiers and preamplifiers inspired by the majestic beauty and power
of Earth’s tectonic volcanism."

    Any Marantz PM-10 users?

A couple of people on the Steve Hoffman forum own it and they are hard pressed to say it 's better than the SA-10. Frankly, I think the jury is still out on where it compares performance wise to its competitors. The specs are quite a bit better than the SA-10. There are one or two published...

    Any Marantz PM-10 users?

You're conflating the PM 10 integrated amplifier and the SA 10 cd player which DOES convert PCM to DSD. The PM 10 is Marantz-customized class-D integrated amplifier with no digital inputs or functionality. The SA 10 was kind of underwhelming to me. The Luxman I replaced it with offered a...

    Any Marantz PM-10 users?

I did not. I used them with Harbeth 40.2 speakers.

    Any Marantz PM-10 users?

I owned the PM-10 and I wouldn't describe it as warm. I'd say it was pretty neutral to a bit analytical. In use it was solid and it's built like a tank. I use different cables now so I don't know how much that played into my perception of the sound at the time. I definitely thought it produced a...

    Harbeth P3ESR XD

I listen to my 40.2 speakers without the grilles as is my preference though in the past with brighter sounding cables I experimented with grilles "on" which worked better for that circumstance. I find there is more separation in the sound with grilles off.

MSB Cascade DAC arrives at Suncoast Audio

I'm glad you figured it out. Hypothetically, if one has fiber at some point in the ethernet chain, can such damage still occur to the end component?
