Just received this reply from AudioQuest: "The Niagara 7000 is designed to be left on continuously, no need to turn the unit off." So, I guess that solves that. Probably should be stated somewhere in the manual or the website. ozzy

I own several of the AQ Dragon Hi current and source power cords. These are the best I have tried. And, since I also have the AQ Niagara 7000 power conditioner they work very well together. ozzy

Thanks, yeah, I did too. But when the blue lamp diminished, and I replaced it, it made me start wondering if I should turn the unit off when not in use. However, it does seem that the on/off switch is quite dramatic, sort of like it was not meant to be switched on and off often. ozzy

Mike, Well, the blue light was not exactly burned out, it just lost its blue color and became a dimly lit white light. What is wrong with turning the Niagara 7000 off when not in use? Say overnight? ozzy

Mike, I asked the question because the little blue status led bulb burned out. It was a royal PITA to change it. Curious why I should leave it powered on all the time? ozzy

An update: It's been a long time since I have used the Critical Mass footers underneath the amps. To me, they (CM) are best used under digital or other front-end components. ozzy

Can the RCA outs be used for powered subs while the XLR outs are used for my Main amps? ozzy

Critical Mass Footers under Amps? I am not sure if using the Critical Mass footers 1.0 size under my mono amps is a good thing. The bass maybe seems a little less dynamic and deep, but I am not sure. Can anyone add input or share on their experience using these footers under amps? ozzy

Thanks for the inquiry. I made sure they are level. And I do like the look of the speakers being perhaps overall 1" taller, they do sound better. I think some of performance improvement is due to anchoring the speakers to the floor instead of them just sitting on top of the carpet. But who...

I have a Lumin X1 connected via fiber from an Ether Regen. I have an 8TB external hardrive connected to the back of the Lumin X1 via a USB cable. I am not sure what I would gain with adding the Lumin L1/L2 over just using my external hard drive. Can anyone explain what would be the advantage...
