I have not had a chance to hear. Future Audiophile has reviewed both the pre and power amps. They thought the units were a great value and the reviewer kept the preamp.
CJ pops up on Facebook occasionally. One of the original owners has been doing a series on past iconic models for CJ.
ARC has recently released some new products. A solid state pre and power and a couple more affordable pieces. I haven't heard how those are doing. I think they've been...
Curious what you think of Esoteric looks? I personally am not a good judge of visuals for obvious reasons however I really like Esoteric though they'd be considered more modern. The monoblocks are very cool. I got to live vicariously as I got to unbox my friend's for him and help set them up...

This comes from the fact that gear does sound different and us trying to relate the differences we hear into words. Difficult at best. Easier if we had a standard for those words. There was an audiophile dictionary published by one of the magazines, I forget which, I lost it in a computer...
That's good to know things are changing. Some years back a dealer told me he wanted VPI and was given a large dollar first time buy in. I can see a company wanting a dealer to do right by their product but you also have to be flexible.
