So before I bought my D1XSE’s I did compare them to a Select 2 at the house and the MSB has a sound of its own that I didn’t really care for. I thought the D1XSE’s were better by a wide margin. I suspect you made the right choice. Of course that’s just my 2c and not worth a penny more! :-) George

Quick question … I think I understand that the Pink Faun streamers rely on Roon to control playback? So no software alternatives if you don’t like Roon especially for local file playback? Appreciate any feedback here. Thanks George

I've had my Alexx's for around 5 years now .. I think. ... LOL. I really love how they sound ... the best I've ever owned ... That said I recently auditioned the VS Ultra 11's and all I can say is OMG! Now I just need to build a new house with a room to fit them! :-) George

The Sophia Electric 6SN7 Blue tubes sound great to me! Not quite NOS but way better than the Tung Sol that came with my amps! George

I listen to CD's or SACD's almost every listening session. Still like them better than streaming but that's just me! George

I enjoy my headphone setup when I'm only going to listen for a short while and dont' want to wait for the big system warm up as it takes about an hour for the main system to sound its best. The headphone setup sounds fine after about 10 min. George
