I'm in the mood for change again...:sigh:

Thinking to change my beloved PMC IB2i speakers. I wish I can keep them all but not enough space.

Is my gears will drive them without problem ? How about my room size ? Is it big enough ? ( 28 X14 )

How much space does it require behind the wall ?

Are they produce enough bass ?

Thanks,

Holy cow you are on fire! My hero. I'm done.

Well, I might like to hear a pair of 20.7's. How about the new 3.7i model. ;)

Ha ! Joe....Don't even start ~!

3.7i....Interesting...However you know me I rather jump up to the top and don't look back type of guy. :cool:

I'm actually debating between 20.7 VS O/96

Two totally different speakers. Tough call. Maybe one of each?

Paul, you have the amps, you have enough room & the DeVores won't foot it with the 20.7's. I know someone that has had both in their house for the last 3 weeks, they packed the DeVores up before the end of trial.
I have 3 friends that have the 20.7's & they have put the time into setting them up & the end result is spectacular. On some recordings the soundstage is massive & a real experience to hear.
The things you can do to make them even better are jumpers for the midrange & treble, fuses & stands. Each has it's own benefits & is worth it to the point of startling. The 20.7's are very revealing of what is upstream, what type of cables, isolation etc., but the more you tweak them the better they get & mine just put a huge smile on my face straight out of the box. It's a win, win. Or as has been quoted before around here, "winner winner, chicken dinner!"
Forgot to add how surprised I was at how much bass these panels have too.

Ha!. Great pic Joe. Maggies are calling Joe, you've never heard the promise in your name like this before Joe......... :)

Kev,

I don't know what the future will bring, but I am willing to embrace it for all its worth.

That is the main factor I started to look at the 20.7. With my experience with tall floor standing speakers are better on sound stage and sound so real. ( In my case was comparing the VA the MUSIC VS Harbeth , PMC )

Anyway thanks a lot Kev. That helps :)

Paul, the last system that I have just heard was on the long wall & it worked very well in a treated room.

Good to know Kev. Let me see if I can sell one of my speakers first. :)

BTW Can you compare the 20.7 VS Strads ?

I've been reading this thread and the Maggie's and O96s are soooo different. I just don't know how somebody could make this decision.

Good luck.

We are not just talking about somebody, we are talking about Paul - the speaker swaperer. :)

Wow, didn't know you had it in you Paul!:D Very cool!:cool:

I assume The Music will stay?

Paul, get the Maggie's first, because you'll need time to decide on whether a pair of these;

or a pair of these;

will go with the O/96's. :exciting:
