That's not what I read....
I haven't heard the M6's, but I did hear Ian's M Pro's this week and holy sh!t. Amazing. I stayed for 5 hours (well after dark!). Ian didn't kick me out early (thankfully). I had to force myself to leave. I kept saying "just one more song." He has done an amazing job dialing in his M Pro's. World class sound.
I've owned 5 pairs of Maggie's. Great speakers for sure.

I’m sure they sound great. But that is a insane price tag. I’d need sell every-single piece of equipment I own, at retail, just to buy these speakers.

Well it did read like a maggie ad review as well and the new 30.7 is nothing like past maggies which lack dynamics

But putting aside the Maggies' gigantic width and height, which limits its utility for most people with less-than-palatial listening rooms, I have never before heard a boxed speaker sound so much like a boxless one as the M6, which fits in just about any listening room and far exceeds the 30.7 in dynamic range, low distortion, fidelity to sources, low end power and impact, power range color, body, and dimensionality, top end smoothness, naturalness, and power handling, soundstage depth and width, and (on anything but really large instruments such as piano and drum) in imaging. Let me make this clear: the M6 is a CONSIDERABLY better speaker than the 30.7, and it reproduces all genres of music equally well, where the Maggies are at their very best with acoustic instruments (IMO). For the money, the 30.7s simply can't be beat, provided you have the space to house them. Money notwithstanding, the M6 is the best speaker (of any type) I've yet heard."

I don’t doubt that the Magico M6’s will strongly challenge for best speakers in the world. But what really surprised me was the Magnepan 30.7’s are in the same ballpark as the M6’s at one-fifth the price. Truly an amazing accomplishment by Magnepan. I wish I had space for a pair!

Yes, I’m planning to buy the pair Mike was going to put out in his garage. He said he’d probably only use them while he was washing his truck, so I figure the price will be pretty good.
I spent an hour listening to the M6s with Soulution amps and top of the line Esoteric cd and dac.
I have simply never been so immersed in the music. The equipment simply disappeared.
Without wanting to sound too esoteric it was a totally spiritual experience eliciting tears and gasps and much swearing... I am rarely amazed. But the Soulution and the M6s gave it all. All you could possibly want. And I’m returning home questioning all I have learned over the past 25 years of audiophile pleasure. This one has broken all the rules....
