So lower distortion in the bass for a given SpL , as the M6 appears to be using the same mid/tweeter displacement with bigger woofers, basically an M3 for bigger rooms ...

Whats the subjective differences when listening .. ??

I've listened to both and the M6 is more there, more present, more luscious.. It does not mean that the M3 isn't.... just a little less

So, it appears the Q series has been replaced by the M series. Can’t wait to start reading reviews of these. Time to start fantasizing which M would go best with my living room. :)

Very interesting to see them next to each other for an impression of the size difference.

Perfect primary & secondary system suggestion I guess [emoji3].

I can’t wait to hear the M3, as I view it as the next step for me from my S3’s. Hopefully it will be at Axpona in 2018.

There's this place called Suncoast Audio in Saratosa, FL where you can listen to M3. You should visit esp. if you want to experience what heaven on earth is.

Thanks for posting this picture, Mike. It looks like the M6 tweeter is lower and that the front baffle is sloped backward like it was in the early Magico speakers. The M3 front baffle is vertical. Can you confirm these impressions? Also, I notice the MIT speaker cables. We are having some discussion here in Boston about the settings on those network boxes. What settings do you prefer with the M3 speaker?

The front Baffle is curved. With the MIT, I preferred all the knobs in the on position. To me, the MIT 2C3D is the sweet spot.

Thanks Mike. I realize the front M6 baffle is curved. Is it also sloped back or is it vertical relative to the floor?

Peter,

Based on the attached drawing from the Magico website, it appears the front baffle of the M6 is sloped back at least for the large drivers and appears more vertical near the smaller 6” driver and tweeter.

Where was the picture taken at?
It is at Presence Audio Conseil in Paris. The first european presentation of the M6 took place there on November 18 with Alon Wolf. Both models are in permanent display, as per the S series. You are welcome!

Thanks for that drawing. Yes, that is how it appears, though it looks very subtle.

The M6 are amazing looking speakers. I hope we get to hear them at Axpona 2018.
