New Luxman 595a Limited Edition

I don’t know what it sounds like - probably really good being Luxman - but it’s gorgeous.

No meters. But it does looking awesome. Would be nice if there is a matching red SACD player

What is MSRP? Around same range as 590AXii?

Class A is great. Wood cabinet is nice. I prefer the look of the 590AXII and the meters but I am sure they will have no problem selling all 300 units.

Joe

Since your Luxman is missing from your signature is one of them your's?

Possibly, they are pretty rare at this point and I do want one, but it depends on what Mike is doing with them.

Joe,

Is this new puppy going to replace your 590AXii? It might perform well with your AG

Yes, it will. The 590 was awesome on everything so far. It looks like the 595a has internal improvements. Luxman in general is spectacular.

I moved the 590 to help fund another purchase, now it’s time to step up to the 595a. Timing worked out well. I got lucky for once.

Sure I’ll miss the meters but overall I used to keep the lights/display off so in reality, it’s fine not having them. I’m all about any internal improvements.

The 2 differences I could find are a newer version of ODNF feedback circuit and the omission of tape loops.
What other internal improvements have you identified?
Gotta admit I love the design!

I honestly don’t know specifics but a friend mentioned he was told of many improvements. He’s trying to get a list of changes.

Joe,
I love the looks of this amp. I would love to know the changes if/when your friend is able to find out.
Thanks,
Anshul

I read a a couple of blogs and translated with google so I’m not sure how accurate the translations are but here’s what they said:

The Audio Union blog had this subjective comment from Luxman about the sound of this new amp- “When I asked the manufacturer earlier, he seems to have a softer and warmer sound than the L-590AX II, the so-called "Lux's A-class" sound. I couldn't hear the sound today, but I will listen to it later and report it again.”

Though another blog,LUXMAN「L-595A LIMITED」を聴きました : 僕たちのオーディオ by Soundpit
listened to it along with the D-10x and wrote...
“According to Mr. Sales, "This amp has a different sound from the previous Luxman."
When I listen to it, it certainly has a slightly different impression from the warm and warm image of the so-called "luxe sound".
It is a sound with a relaxed high range and a wide range.
For Luxman, which is characterized by a slightly mellow sound, it's a fairly aggressive approach.
But if you want to combine it with a new speaker, I think this kind of seasoning will be more suitable.
I think that it is a sound make-up that can be enjoyed like audio with the high resolution of D-10X.”

Thank you. I guess the translation is a little wonky but I can’t imagine it being terrible.
