When will it be available? Which Lumin devices are supported? How much does it cost? Is it Roon compatible?

As soon as we finalize the packaging, distribution schemes and logistics. We already have the first batch of actual hardware ready.
All past and present models of Lumin network players and transports are supported.
Price is subject to change, tentatively USD2xx.
Roon compatible.

The remote control package comes with a USB IR receiver in the shape of a half sphere, for those who wonder how existing Lumin models can be operated. For Lumin X1 and T2, since there is only one USB port, if you plug in the USB IR receiver, you do not have another port for USB storage or USB DAC output. For the M1, if you already use one USB port for the RCA input adapter, using the other USB port for the USB IR receiver would meaning leaving no USB port for USB storage. There should be some USB hub that could workaround this limitation, but I cannot guarantee that because different hubs do behave differently.

Made in Austria.

If your not using the Leedh volume control system it won't do anything for you of interest I don't imagine.

The remote has buttons for volume up / down / mute / play / pause / next / previous / shuffle / repeat / standby. For using these remote functions, you don’t need to pick up the iPad.

Anything other than these (e.g. playlist adjustment) will still require the iPad.

Thank you Peter and everyone at Lumin. This is exactly what I need for the Lumin M1 in my second system.

Admirable that Lumin listened to customers in AS and acted to fill a need. Wished more companies did that. Well done Peter and the Lumin team.

This is great! Will the IR receiver be sold separately, or will any USB IR receiver work? For people who want to use their universal remotes or control systems.

The remote and the USB IR receiver are sold as a single package, not separately. Random USB IR receivers are unlikely to work.

Hi BlueFox I am curious why you have no interest in Leed h. Have you compared it against your preamp? What preamp are you using? Does music sound better through the preamp?

Peter - Are there any plans to show the volume level on the display?

Yes, when volume adjustment is made via remote control, the front panel will show it.

200 USD for a Lumin remote seems to be a high price for a product already bought at >2000USD
you should give these remotes as gifts for Lumin owners!
first thing I was worried about when I bought a Lumin is the absence of remote but I figured it out before buying:

on my side I did not wait for this
I became a geek and I installed a program on my NAS making me use my Logitech Harmony control Roon and then of course Lumin playing Roon. And of course as a bonus, I have only one remote to rule them all (my Rooning Lumin, my Amp, my lights, my DAC, my TV, my future PS5 and everything). And I can set up all the buttons exactly as I wish, for instance, I have a button dedicated to directly play Tidal's "Grown Jazz" playlist on my Lumin, another button to launch "La Sélection Jazz de Qobuz" and etc..

So please think, you need some efforts on IT but Remote control can be more enjoyable at a less expensive price (of course if you already have the existing right setup)

$200 seems VERY reasonable to me, especially for such a beautiful, elegant looking remote.

Our MBL remote is $750 and it looks like this:
