Brexit apears to have royally screwed the Markets

I thought the vote would go the other way. This was fear not logic in mass people under stand fear better.

The drop in our stock market is all pure BS. Smart money was betting people would panic and follow the advice of WS that the DOW would take a big hit and the seeds were sown for a panic sell off.

Fear? How so?

A big part of what drove the vote is the EU setting what a lot of Britz saw as a high number of immigrants each member country would take in.

Personally I have no idea what the number should be way above my pay grade to decide a thing like that.

A lot of Britz fear the influx of new people.

The EU is not the be all end all for a lot of people in the UK .

Not saying the EU is bad or wrong change is just a hard thing for the average person who is trying to keep above the waterline.

When it comes down to it England is a free country they held a vote and this is what it is I am not British but I respect their right to decide their own fate.

The vote was close 2.5 million are asking to hold the vote again. Wrong IMO as one person one vote not let us vote till we see it my way.

I wish them luck the fall out will be what it is.

Hard to imagine being a sovereign country and other countries are telling you how many immigrants you must take in every year whether you like it or not.

Join a club and you will find the club has rules your only power is how much the club wants you as a member .

Follow the rules or leave the club.

I've spoken to two friends in England. I certainly understand the situation better. The Brits are very proud people with a very long history. They don't like being told what to do.

Will be interesting to see if others follow suit. A rising tide lifts all boats? Maybe not.

This feels like it's going to be a repeat of the 2011 20% drop (at least) in markets as the risk/probability of Euro dissolution rises. This is not going to be pretty.

The big news in the UK is REVOTE!

Many who didnt vote want a General election now with a revote Platform based on specific outcomes, not a general recommendation, REMAIN or dissolve the Union and allow each home territory to decide. It seems like the vote was not legal in the sense that other contradictory legislation was already in the works?

Revote ...!!!

Sounds hilarious , if they do pull it off , less hope it's contagious , nothing beats a closed loop voting scheme until desired results are met ..

:)

Perspective:

DOW -261 Monday + 270 today
S&P 500 -37 Monday + 36 today

Only the Nasdaq was off more (-114) Monday than it recovered today (+97)

Of course there was still the carnage on Friday wiping out (plus lots more) of Thursday's impressive rally.
