    Fyne 704's

    Hello,

I just attended an event last evening with Luke Manley of VTL.

The 704's were sounding the best I have ever heard them.

VTL 450 mono blocks and a brand new VTL Phono Pre amp.

    I had goosebumps.

Luke is very knowledgeable person and quite nice.

Truly amazing system and i was also very impressed with the My Sonic Labs Gold cartridge.

    Yes Mike,

Amazing with high powered tube Amps like the VTL's.

I know you have heard them with some of the best SS Amps out there.
I have also heard these with very good SS Amps.
For now in my opinion Tubes are the way to go as long and their powerful enough.

Just saw you carry My Sonic Lab.
Truly great cartridge their Gold is and it was not even broken in yet.
Gorgeous to look at as well.

Yes, MSL is the most underrated family of cartridges around. People don’t know how many cartridges they make for other companies - like Air Tight.

    Mike,

    Your absolutely correct.

Air Tight cartridges are excellent products.

MSL was directly involved with Koetsu as you know.

How big of a tube amp would the 704's need in a 14 x 18 room? How about the 703's?

50-100 watts. Something like a VAC Signature 200iQ would be amazing.

You Already have a VAC, everything should be Fyne ...

VTL would be excellent but as Mike already said you already have a VAC.

Makes sense to me what he said.

    Enjoy

    Lastly,

I have heard these amazing speakers on Triode valves and I prefer the sound of Pentodes or Tetrodes.

But this is very personal choice.
