Golden Gate User Review

This might be one of the best reviews I've ever read. Period. GREAT JOB BILL!!!!!

I just have one question for you: should you need to ship your Lampizator somewhere, are you able to put the Polish foam puzzle back together again? (only Lampi owners will get this one). LOL.

I went from the Big 7 balanced to a GG, I could not be more happy. The reason for me why that "other" dac is redundant.
 
Hi, excellent read. I wish more people reviewed from a classical music emphasis like you did, because I personally find that putting 50 instruments instead of 4 through electronic components is separates the best. Not to mention that I believe there is a more right and wrong to acoustic tone than to miked tone. So great to read of that emphasis from a first trombonist who was brought up listening to his Dad's piano (toughest instrument to replicate). You could see that classical passage flow, something I have not read in other reviews

Well done Bill, I must concur with what everybody else is saying. A truly magnificent review about the superb Golden Gate Lampizator.

Superbly written Bill...thank you. You should try the EML 45 Anniversary Globes with a metal base GZ34 rectifier tube. For me, it's tops! Also the 422A rectifier is excellent. I use it with 300B's such as KR Balloon, Elrog, etc.

You prefer the anniv globes to the Elrogs?

I can see how the "fast" metal base GZ34 would blend well with the anniv 45...
 
Absolutely. But very system dependent. These 45's are the best choice in my system today. Elrog's are excellent. In recent months however I have been discovering 300B's that rival them...namely KR 300B Balloons
