My new ARC REF 250's

I know! I must hear them. Someone else I know just bought a pair of those.

Rumor has it he is working on 9's but that might be years. He personally told me if you are willing to deal with tubes the AR ref are tops with the 5a's and 7's. he likes the mxr's for ss.

Mike
Congratulations on the Ref 250's You're gonna love them, especially with the Ref 10. Now all you need is some really fantastic speakers.

Mike....Can't wait to hear what you think. Only have about 40 hours on the REF 150. What a special piece, along with the REF 5SE. Beyond my wildest dreams.

I love Vandersteens. I owned a pair of Quatros when they first came out and am very familiar with the 5As and 5A Carbons. That is a speaker I could hold onto for a long time. Someday.

TODAY is the day Doug! :) I'm not leaving the house for anything! I'll be carrying my old amp (Classe CA-2300) back downstairs to the family room system to make room for my two new babies.

I can't imagine how good that system will sound! Now about those speakers...

Which reminds me of the first time I heard the REF250's. The dealer had just gotten them in. They were paired with a REF5 and some Wilson Maxx 2's. The volume was very low, maybe 40-50 db range since they were being broken in, and the sound was amazing. The detail at such a low volume was really something. Have you considered Wilson's Mike?
