Shunyata Sigma Cable Loom Review

Hopefully, my Sigma speaker cables will arrive by Friday for a fun evaluation weekend. If that goes well then its time to order 3 pair of Sigma XLR interconnects. Then that is it, unless Lumin comes out with an S1 replacement. :)

I have the Shunyata Sigma Clock 50 Ohm BNC cable between my K1 and G1 and it sounds fantastic! Highly recommended.

Well, I have to tell you guys something. With the Shunyata Sigma speaker cables, IC’s and digital cables, I achieved a level of sound on the Avantgarde’s in the store that I wasn’t getting at home. So last week, I brought the cables home and replaced my Siltech Royal Signatures speaker cables, IC’s and digital cables and you know what? The Shunyata Sigma’s was a better match. Even smoother. More body. Better bass. More liquid sounding. The same great sound I was getting on the AG’s in the store. I’ll also tell you, these Shunyata cables are THE BEST match I’ve found with ARC gear too. A home run.

Mike,
That is pretty impressive! I would love it if you could compare them to the MIT cables on the Magico M3s. If they match up well to them, that would make them almost a bargain.

I still prefer MIT on Magico (and so have others who have sat and listened with me). MIT on Magico is just outstanding and I think one of the more consistent ancillary related products we see over and over with Magico (and from Magico). But that’s not to say the Shunyata isn’t also terrific on Magico, it is.

But the Shunyata Sigma is soooooo good with the other speakers I’ve tried, especially with Avantgarde and especially with ARC and Pass gear.

Do you have any experience with cables for Rockport (Atria) speakers? Unfortunately, I can't afford the Sigmas, but I can afford the Alpha NRs. At that price point, what would you recommend for my Pass electronics & Rockport speakers? My MIT cables are the original versions from 30(?) years ago!

Just from listening at clients. They used Shunyata for the most part. I don’t recall what they use at shows.
