Chad is Becoming....

That's impressive. It's the right move for Chad as he can now be a one-stop shop controlling the quality from mastering to cutting to plating to pressing. But to also put the financial resources to work to preserve the Mastering Lab brand and equipment is very admirable. Good on him

Who is buying up all the CD pressing plants ....?

That's a joke right? Who would want them? You might want to hedge your bets and think that sometime in the future CDs will come back and you can corner the market on manufacturing CDs again and buy up a CD pressing plant or two.

Of course, pressing music CDs is probably only a part of their overall business.

Looking now at Chad pressing TWO million albums a year!

Wow, that's gotta be some operation (or operations) to be able to spit out close to 7700 LP's a day!

IIRC, Chad told me their old production numbers were 66,000 a month. The problem is that a major label's order could take up his entire monthly capacity and the more and he couldn't press his own LPs. So he was forced to turn away business not any more.

ok, for us that really have NO clue who in the heck is Chad. When I hear Chad I think of the hanging Chad's in Florida :D now I'll get another cold one and to go back to the TV and watch more of the US Open.

I would love a factory tour. Must be an impressive setup. And great for onshore manufacturing and jobs. One of my first jobs was as an accountant in a can factory. I remember the big Dayton presses.
