I am about to audition these amps in my system next Friday. Will get back to you & let you know how they compare to the 2301's ;)

Congrats Kev!

I am very interested in your opinion. I really think the 28's are the best Bryston has to offer. The 20 year warranty is a testament to their commitment. Can't wait! The Strads and 28's should be dynamite.
 
Kev, I predict you're about to have a heart attack when you hear that with your Strads !

Thanks guys, I am really hoping it's these amps that have what I'm looking for. I was listening to the 2301's & thinking to myself I must have rocks in my head to be thinking of replacing them :D

It might be nice to switch between them. Do you have to sell the 2301's to fund the next purchase?

How about one of each? Ha! Nah, that will not work. As good as the 2301's are on the Strads, I believe the control of the 28BSST2's will be undeniable. Bryston's current line up is not like when I was in college. The new gear is smooth and non-fatiguing. I was amazed by the 4BSST2 and have yet to hear the 28's. Keep us in the loop.

Joe,

I to was very impressed with the 4B SST2 on my Futura, I now thinking of getting rid of my Mc207 and replace it with 4B&6B for the HT duty..

I've been using the 6B SST2 in my HT with stellar results...I also see a 4B SST2 in my future. There's something I once heard about about great minds :D. SP3 to complete?

I think the end result for me would be selling the Mc207 & Mx121 and go with 4B, 6B, and SP3 yes..

Are you running the SP3?
 
Dewey, I heard your Futura's with Byston 7B SST2's, very nice sounding. Also with the Classe CA M600's !!
 
No SP3. The sane part of me says it's not worth the outlay...the OCD irrational want to complete a matching set is winning however...perhaps if Jeff gives me a deal I can't refuse :rolleyes:...

I'll see him tomorrow to pick up my 28's, I'll have to have a talk with him :-)
 
I couldn't wait for tomorrow, so I had to pay Jeff a visit right after I got into town today :p
 
Trying to rush the kids to bed so I can get started, also pics would have to wait a little don't want to alarm the wife just yet..
