Who's getting the new iPhone 7?

...My only reservation is the need to use anti-virus/anti-malware programs on Android platforms..

Melbguy1 (and Double-D too) , which of the anti virus programs for Samsong/Android phones do you like best?

Thanks, Duke

Let's go back to IPhone. Who's got one ? Any feed back ?

I got mine (Black) yesterday.

Set up was easy.

My only gripe is they repositioned the camera lens, so my old 6S case blocks part of the lens.

Duke, IObit have a free program 'Advanced Mobile Care' which like its desktop version Advanced System Care is a good general de-bugging program which keeps system performance fast/stable, however I wouldn't recommend it as a primary AV/Anti-malware program.

From all that i've read, Bit Defender Mobile Security free or paid version is the way to go for a solid AV/AM program & has garnered very good reviews, including PC Mag who generally give objective opinions.

Am I mistaken, or does it seem like there's not a lot of excitement here about the new iPhone 7? I would have thought this thread would be moving right along with new iPhone users by now. Maybe there's just a lot of folks waiting for orders to be filled.

The new iPhone 7 appears to be an excellent upgrade over previous iterations.

got it yesterday. Upgraded from my iPhone 5. No great shakes, though I'm happy to have a faster processing speed. Much more exciting has been my acquisition of Audeze EL-4 Platinum headphones with the lightening cable. It has a dac and headphone amp in the (included) cable. So it pulls some impressive HiFi sound out of iOS devices.

My first iPhone is the new SE and I bought it about 6 months ago. It's even better with the new IOS 10 update. Once the furor of the new 7 settles down, I plan on getting one for my Sprint account. My iPhone SE is on Verizon and after getting used to a few things coming from Android and a few Samsung phones, I plan on going iPhone all the way. Can't wait.

I am waiting for mine to arrive, but at the end of the day - it is just a phone with fancy features. I will be glad when it does arrive since I am getting tired of the the tie-wraps on my 5 stretching and falling off as I take it out of my back pocket.

Apparently the battery issue only affected the S7 Note model, not the S7 or S7 Edge. And the former is subject to a recall I believe.

I have the iPhone SE. It's a 5 on steroids. A9 chip, fast, best battery life. It's not the 7, but I like a small phone. It's great. I had a 4 for 7 years.

My problem with any iPhone is that without a protective case it's like trying to hold onto a melting ice cube.... slippery. I had a life proof case that was a nice snug fit that eliminated the slippery feel of my 5c however the mic ports were continually getting clogged and most people only said they could hear me if I was using it with my left hand held up to my left ear. Right hand and right ear and location of mouthpiece ports equaled complete garbled mess for some reason.

The life proof case plastic front sheet finally failed and since then I've been using my phone without but I've dropped it damn near every day due to being slippery. I guess when it breaks I'll have to find something new.

I have a 6S, so no reason to upgrade. Honestly, think I will have this phone for 4-5 years or switch to Android finally.

Skipping it. I have a 6 that's working very well. Nothing compelling to upgrade.

so true hard to hang onto

Just got a 7 Plus, and my previous one was a "Touch Disease" infected 6 Plus. Very impressive so far, mostly with the camera(s). It's also zippier than my old 6 Plus.

I got mine in standard Black, and it's fairly solid. You do need a case, though, as it's still quite slippery.

Alex.......Congratulations on your new iPhone 7 Plus purchase. Hope it proves to be a more reliable performer. The iPhone 6 touch screen issue is a big problem for Apple. They have refused to correct the issue for customers, instead telling them to buy a new iPhone. There is now a Class Action lawsuit against Apple over this problem. Apple does their best to keep technical issues under wraps like they do with all of their issues, software included. They expend a lot of energy and money to keep Apple's reputation from being blemished, sometimes at the expense of their precious customers. It will be interesting to see how the Class Action lawsuit progresses through the court.
