It's not really a competition AES/EBU Burn In?

I'd suggest you check out many pages on this topic going back 15+ years on Audiogon, this and other forums, and check out the varying points of view and experience as this question in general and specific to various digital cable types has been debated extensively. Then grab some cables and test to form your own opinion....

    Re: AES/EBU Burn In?

I precondition all of the AES/EBU cables that I build for our customers before they leave here and they seem to appreciate the service. Same with S/PDIF (RCA or BNC), Analog IC's (RCA or XLR), Speaker Cables and Power Cables. So, my vote is Yes.

    Re: AES/EBU Burn In?

My opinion per my experience is AES/EBU cable sound signature presentation does evolve with hours of use. I perceived a change pretty early on, say 20 hour mark, but believe presentation continued to more subtibly evolve over several hundred hours. I concede that some of my appreciation for longer term evolving change could be me as well becoming more and more accustomed to a sound signature I find to be more right. However, I would find myself going damn, that sounds good and having more of those better sounding realization moments as more hours accumulated. For reference, I have been using a Sablon AES/EBU with Bocchino palladium xlr terminations.

I just went through a similar revelation with long XLR cables.
