I wanted to give a heads up that our new entry level DAC, the Euforia, just received it's first professional review!

Larry does a great job of capturing the essence of the core sound we are going for into words. He is planning to make this a multi-part review documenting things as he improves his transport from his office computer.

Thanks so much for the review, Larry!

Fred

So that's a really crazy/silly way to end a review. With a P.P.S. saying he's found a tweak that completely changes his take, and too lazy to rewrite his review! Is it positive, or sideways? I have to assume either, and not negative, otherwise he shouldn't have published it in the first place. But this leaves so many questions in my mind, and probably a vast number of them for prospective buyers. Wouldn't you want to wait to publish until you can avoid that kind of a statement at the end that raises so many questions?

I agree with your comments Genjamon. His closing comments basically are saying ignore what I said earlier. So makes the review unusable at the moment.

From my personal opinion, I expect the Euphoria to be the best way to get introduced to the Lampi sound. Get the DSD that Lampi is famous for at a reasonable price.

Fred, any way we can get a demo unit to send around for auditions? I would love to see if headphone community would be interested in this.

I spoke to Larry after the review was posted and he explained his reasoning for doing it as he did and it does make sense. At the end of the review he tried a new transport/NAA streamer that has been getting some talk at WBF and using a proper transport for NAA streaming has allowed the Euforia to shine in ways his mixed use work computer could not.

He already loved it with his work computer, but is now blown away to the extent he'd decided to do a multi-part review chronocaling his Euforia adventures. :)

Don't ignore the positive sentiment, just anticipate more to come. :)

We may be able to work out a tour situation. I'm generally distrustful of the couriers and exposing a unit to multiple bouts of it is concerning, but I can understand folks are interested in hearing it. Let me chew on this.

That's why I was thinking the euphoria since it is "cheaper"
Crashem,

If you can afford it, get the DHT Dac with DSD. DSD loves DHT...that is my take. At least a Lite7 and if at all possible a GG!!!
Going cheaper may be a regret!

You can ask for the HP option the B7 and up or get a B7 HeadDac like AL did!

Fair warning. LoL

With headphone out or full HeadDac?
Based on your posts, I think its Balanced, no?
Congrats either way.

Thanks! Just went headphone. I ridiculous amounts of headphone amps and going to mostly use with stax anyway. You helped me decide between big7 and GG and Rob made it too easy to decide on the GG in the end.

Excellent.

AL has B7 HeadDac and B7 with some GG specs with headphone out. He LOVES the VT99 driver tube in the HeadDac.

Larry got my streamer unit for the review, but didn't have things optimized. If you read the PPS at the end, that's what that is all about. I was expecting a revision.
