what Phono stage do you using?

Sorry, can you please again state how the esoteric compares to your accuphase?

the Esoteric E-03 has a slightly full loose bass with exceptional treble extension but can be a little forward in the lower treble.

the Accuphase - Stability is the word - the bass is tighter and faster, but the rest of the music sounds coherent. Accuphase has exceptional soundstaging and stability in instrument placement within that soundstage without spotlighting any particular frequency.

Hagerman Cornet2 modified to use a 6SN7 in the cathode follower and switchable gain stages so I can use 12AX7 or 6N2P.

Accuphase C-37.

a step up from my previous phono the Pass XP-25 in sound, flexibility and absence of any noise. 3 inputs, 3 ground terminals, 100k loading for mm, build like a tank and memory for each setting.

Same here, except I’ve only had it in the rack for one day. Dead dead dead quiet, much wider and deeper soundstage, but brittle as ice right now. Bass comes out a little more with each spin, but the first three of four album sides were excruciating. I own a full rack of accuphase stuff though, so I have every confidence it will continue to improve. But wow - painful at first.

It will sound like garbage for 20-30 hours. For a while I thought I had made a mistake. Then everything starts to bloom - highs get extended and bass gets tighter and more tuneful.
Ends up one hell of a coherent music playing machine.

let us know how you like it after break in.

Any thoughts on the hagerman frybaby2 or any other device to sped this up while not wasting the stylus? It’s got all the pieces (depth, precision, quiet, et al), but sounds like it’s made from glass right now.

Anyone has experience with the Ypsilon VPS100? I use the DSA Phono II. The Ypsilon has piqued my curiosity.

I heard it on demo and it was very nice. I don’t recall the details, but remember the size - which was large!

It's been awhile since the ASR and the ARC, but the BAT was a bigger more powerful sound than either of them. The ARC had a really wide soundstage, I do remember that. But it didn't sound (to me) as fleshed out through the midrange as the BAT, it was very good though and just a preference thing.
The ASR was not for me.
The AudioNet with or without the upgraded power supply is really good. It is my favorite by a good margin. It is quiet, extended, resolves detail better than any I have had. It has nice dense images, really no weaknesses I have heard. For classical none I have had could throw a stage like it does.
If I didn't have the AudioNet, I would have the BAT VK-p12se with super pak, or ARC Reference 3.

Hello,

I have an Esoteric E-03...

Are you always happy with your Audionet PAM G2 with EPS G2 ?
Thanks
Do you think I can listen 70' 80' 90' s music with them ?
Thanks again

thanks you guys! awesome choices around!
will love to hear the ARC ref3 but around here is nearly impossible.
i was heard at a friend house the 2 se a couple of times with CA GFA, but he got so much different system then mine, its impossible to cut the phono benefits.

any one got any experience with KONDO GE1 and sut?

I have the Kondo GE-1 and SUT, currently with Technics SL-1000R and SPU 85 Ann. cart. Its still quite new at my place, this is the first combination I try. I find it really really nice:)
