Interesting article. I don't know if there was ever a time in history where there were more high quality and super high quality turntables, tonearms, and cartridges for sale than right now. Too bad we don't have more new LP releases that are pure analog.

Interesting that this was all about foreign companies considering it was a NYT article.

    Try this one:

    Potions | Lyn Stanley

we played the master dub at the CA AXPONA via Nagra IV-S + QGB earlier.

    Pure analog.

Ki-I bought the Lyn Stanley LP before it was officially released and it sounds damn good. Paul Roger's new LP is also pure analog, but it was an opportunity wasted compared to the Lyn Stanley LP as I mentioned in another thread.

    Mark,
Her earlier LP was from digital recording but I take you bought the Potions that is the newest. - Nice choice.

Ki-Yes, I bought her Potions LP. Lyn has a very sexy voice.

This is an amazing sounding LP! I played what I thought was a good sounding LP after that. It sounded digital compared to this LP (turns out it was, hah!).

    Re: NY Times on Analog

Myles, thanks for sharing the article. We get the NYT Sunday national edition, but the article wasn't there. All we had in the Style section was several pages on Kendall Jenner (which I thought was a NYC law firm). Anyway, at least the Times featured the most important football game of the year as their lead in the Sports section. Hint: The winning team is one of only three undefeated in the country and is based in the same town as Acoustic Research and KLH were founded.

    Re: NY Times on Analog

Yes. It was done it seems by a Brit audio reviewer and picked up by the Times. Look at the last line in small print.
