After I replaced the Wilson Alexias with the MBL 101E MK2s, I had to replace my speaker cables. The MBLs require double runs for each speaker. I did comparisons of a number of cable brands and models (not all of them!) and, ultimately, decided to got to Wireworld.

Why? The MBLs are wired internally with WW. Also, after 3 weeks for comparisons with other brands, it was the WW Platinums that really made the 101E MK2's shine (not that others were bad!).

I decided to tryout the WW Platinum Series 8 ICs as well. The experience was fantastic and exceeded my previous cables by a wide margin. So I ordered a few pairs. These are just arriving. I will post some more over the next few weeks.

Congrats for finding what suits your system and ears. Synergy is key.

I’m going through a similar exercise with ICs, it’s quite fun.

I just ordered a pair of the WW Platinum Eclipse 8 balanced for my new Lumin X1.
Any idea how long these cables take to break in?

My experience with them is that they sound pretty darn good out of the box. You will not have to deal with inconsistent performance as they break in.
 
Congratulations Mike.

When it came time for new cables for me, Mike recommended the Wireworld Platinum Eclipse 8. I was a little hesitant for no other reason other than cost but I trust him.

Holy cow, they were great out of the box but now smooth and sweet and clear. Love them.

We didn’t get the new USB. Still have the 7. But really using all Shunyata, Nordost and AQ in the three show rooms. WW is for our MBL reference system.

Sort of. Back in November, Nordost contacted us and sent us a giant box of cables to try. The rep was terrific and kept telling me more and more about their products, their dealer program (like their demo cases) and other stuff. We were able to put them in a variety of systems in the store and really liked what they did. The cables cast a massive soundstage, tremendous separation and they are FAST. They didn’t exhibit ANY, and I mean, NONE of the traits of the Nordost cables of 10-15 years ago. These were a different experience entirely and definitely for the better.

Nordost sent us several different models to try, up to the Valhalla 2. We kept listening for literally months. We wanted to get through the end of the year and through tax season before making a decision. In April, we went forward with Nordost and got all three demo cases (Leif, Norse and Reference). We also brought in a full loom of Super Reference - Odin 2 and have already had tremendous success loaning out that loom. We also purchased the Vidar 2 cable burn in machine so we can offer that service to customers. We actually spent weeks burning in all our demo cases and reference and super reference cables. We have the Nordost Valhalla Ethernet and USB and they are excellent too.

i upgraded from walhalla1 to odin full loom on release a dozend years ago and love them ever since.
funny, last year i sold them and tried a lot others and eventually bought the odins back.

Not surprised really. Odin 2 is just amazing. Like a full component/speaker change kind of change.
