looking for feedback on WB Vector speakers looks to be great build quality.

it seems not many dealers in USA carry the brand ( midwest)

I have owned a pair of WB Vectors for the last 1 year. Overall, perhaps the best speaker I have owned. Beautiful to look at, top-notch fit and finish, high spouse acceptance factor. Best of all, easy to move as it weighs less than 75 pounds.
The sound still manages to surprise me. Outstanding dynamics, pin-point imaging, soundstage easily exceeds the width of the speakers. You get world class resolution without any listening fatigue. Easy to drive (I have driven them very well with amps putting out about 75 watts (both solid state and tube). Currently, I am driving them with an Accuphase E-450 integrated that sounds great. I have used them in 2 rooms of different sizes (225 sq.ft and 400 sq.ft). These relatively small speakers have been able to adequately pressurize both rooms.
I also like the fact that this speaker is designed with state of the art materials technology when it comes to cabinets and the company uses its own latest generation drivers (it is not just some expensive off the shelf drivers thrown into a pretty wooden box).

Anshul, your thoughts very much are aligned with mine. I have by no means the top of the the line stand-mounts, but boy oh boy, for the money,...."wow", it really is an eye/ear opening experience. To live with this line of speakers & become intimate with their nuances, character & delivery is an actual revelation , especially being able to compare them to speakers 2-3 times the price in the same venue/room/space. I have actually put my Trinity's in the back of my SUV & ventured down the road to the importer of Magnepans & inserted them into one of his demo systems. Both he & his wife were floored to hear the midrange & up coming from these & expressed just how good they were. truly a world class experience.

    Hi all,

I've experienced Vector more than a year driving them with Einstein The Tube and The Light In The Dark. However, am now switching to transistor amp for more dynamics, powerful, sound richness. Has anyone paired Gryphon with Vetor? How does it sound? I have two choices - an Attila 100w/channel and Diablo 250w/channel 8ohms. Which one should be better match? i also have another option - YBA Genesis. Please share your thoughts . these might help me with better decision. Thanks and Cheers,

Any Gryphon gear is top notch & I would be proud to own it. My advice would be to consider that in the future you may want more than 100w, although this will be only for something that will demand a power influx into the 2ohm realm of a speaker. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Thank everyone for your advice. I have dragged a Diablo home, gearing it up with my Vector via Crystal Cable -both interconnect and speaker wire. It sounds fantastic. The Vector is now performing much much better that it has ever done before. A much better choice.

Just a question on subwoofer connection, has anyone know how to leverage it?

    thanks,

Simply great speakers. Unrivaled midrange, no fatigue highs, solid musical bass, easy to drive ( 20 tube watts 845's ) go loud, can enjoy at low levels.

I have just found this forum and joined right away. Happy Vector owner here, based in Tokyo.

I have been driving them with a Devialet D250 Pro and this works amazingly well, especially with their Vector active speaker matching (ASM) profile enabled.

Very discrete set up, perfect for a moderate size urban room. Amazingly easy to use with Roon over ethernet or USB.

    Cheers,
    Bernard
