Bay... Thank you very much!!! Your friend makes a good point but with one caveat, multiple tables is a good thing!!!

You have a point....I am not the typical - load an album and play. 50% of my fun is tinkering...LOL..sometimes with positive results..sometimes with GOOFS...but always fun...I would probably not be happy if I didn't have a tweak or adjustment to worry about

Bay...here's another piece on VPI's debut of it's 3D printer produced JMW tonearm: http://www.analogplanet.com/content/...turntable-moto. Michael Fremer (Stereophile) on his Analog Planet web site discussed how Harry Weisfeld (VPI founder and chief designer) demoed the new arm vs. his standard JMW tonearm at the New York Audio Society and the consensus was that the difference was "profound" in favor of the one piece 3D version. Pretty amazing that 3D printing has already found applications in high-end audio

ANother pic of the 3D printed version of the arm:

Re: How About Showing Us Some Pictures Of Your VPI Turntables?

Well, not a true VPI table, but it does use some VPI parts

    - new ceramic platter and bearing
    - VPI motor and aluminum pod
    - Moerch DP6 tonearm
    - Transfiguration Temper cartridge
    - silk string drive
    - Mark Kelly designed speed control
    - 1" thick Corian plinth
    - sitting on a maple board with squash balls underneath (aka poor mans Ginko)
    - all on a Sandbox based shelf built into the audio rack
