Re: Vitus SIA-025 dream gear
So Stillpoints are a must, right? But the contact face of three (or four) Ultra SS is very small when I look at the pictures. This is no problem with a 42kg heavy SIA 025?

Re: Vitus SIA-025 dream gear
Right now I am using Shun Mook Ultra Diamond Resonators. They have a huge diameter. I also have an Ensemble Honeyplate with three little cones. Did not try it by now. The contact area is also very small.

Re: Vitus SIA-025 dream gear
I tried the SIA-025 with the PS Audio PerfectWave Powerplant P10 .I now run the SIA-025 direct to the power point on its own power line.No real difference sound wise and didn't want to risk starving it of power..

Re: Vitus SIA-025 dream gear
The PS Audio PerfectWave Powerplant P10 is a regen which is supposed to re-build the original signal, remove contamination and produce a perfect sine wave according to PS Audio. I haven't tried a regen in my system, but I have had great success with the Gigawatt PC-3 SE Evo conditioner.
The Gigawatt has a double buffering circuit with compensation cells with enhanced capacity and levels the difference between input and output power, dramatically improving impulse response for non-linear loads (eg: power amplifiers). It provides over-voltage protection and extremely robust surge protection provided by a hydraulic-magnetic switch made by Carling Technologies & has an accurate voltmeter which displays input voltage in 'true RMS' via an LED display on the front panel. It also has a dedicated high current branch for amplifiers & is one of the few conditioners where a power amp sounds better connected to the conditioner than direct to wall. An added bonus is that the product's footprint allows it to be placed on a normal height rack shelf which I find useful.
Here is a review fyi which has detailed pics of the internals and parts. Note: Gigawatt have slightly improved the design since this review.

Re: Vitus SIA-025 dream gear
Hi there, looking at getting a used Vitus SIA 025. Any idea what is the difference between the MKI and MKII? Is it upgradable by the local dealer or Vitus themselves?
