Vitus available for audition

No he bought the T+A when the Vitus never was released and for a customer outside the immediate confines of the EU a much smarter move then and maybe still now in terms of service and support.

your very own conspiracy.
vitus announced the sia30 in munich 2019 and few monthes later they were available.

I reached out for the distributor and his reply was immediate and accommodating. He was able to tell me who had what stock for demoing and immediate purchase. He acquainted me with the local dealer who was also generous with his time and information about Vitus. He was forthcoming about the brand, pricing, and lead times for ordering products. My impression from preliminary investigation into the brand was very positive.

Of the handful of distributors I've spoken to, it was the best experience I've had. There's a couple I've spoken to in the last few years that couldn't be bothered to follow up with me, so I can see how Penthouse's experience left a sour impression.

U-sound, you are clearly struggling with the issues here. Maybe it’s “lost in translation “...kindly read the information before passing judgement . Maybe they were available in Europe in 2019, they were supposed to be released in 2017,and haven’t shown up in the USA until this year......Enjoy your soundbar....

supposed by yourself based on rumors.....no official announcement before munich19

however, i am not the judge or against you, just tried to help you by enlarging the picture as a whole story. the intention of vitus wont be to confuse anybody.
they build an amp, announced it, theyr new distributor picked it up as soon as he was settled....i havent heard anybody unhappy with it apart from you

Great feedback Christian. It seems Vitus have started a new chapter in America with the appointment of a new distributor, the launch of a US service centre and the progressive on-boarding of responsive new dealers.

Vitus has turned the page. Let’s hope Penthouse-D can do the same.

Kiwi, and others. This forum is filled with glorious reviews of mostly everything. If you think about the problems many of us had over the past few years, with no dealers or distributors, you just have to wonder how a brand can let that happen. Will it happen again? It’s sort of sad that they’ve dropped dealers who took on the brand, made substantial investments in the brand, trying to build it, only to have them lose the franchise. Christian, out of curiosity, I’d like to hear the pricing structure. Full list, or full list? Lastly, I’m sure everyone has an “issue “ with a manufacturer of something. An auto manufacturer, whatever. I just find the company’s behavior for a 2-3 year period sort of shocking, and not very consumer friendly. Just imagine the enormous hassle you would have, had you needed service on gear you may have spent $25,000 or considerably more during that period. It would go something like this... Sure, ship your 100 lb. or more crate back to Europe at your expense, deal with customs issues both ways, and by the way, you’ll be without your expensive gear for at least 6 months.... see my point? Please refer to my recent T+A post about support....

Happy to read you’ve had a good experience with T+A support so far.

But what’s to suggest that current owners of Vitus would not receive equally good support?

Christian’s experience (above) appears to provide some evidence that new US representation of Vitus (distributor and dealer cited) are professional, care a lot for the brand and are highly responsive to requests for assistance.

Buying high end audio product from any foreign brand entails some degree of risk. For example, you’ve taken a risk buying T+A which does not have strong brand recognition or presence in the US market. I saw a forum post from a T+A dealer the other day where he wishes he could get more traction for the brand, laments sharp price increases in 2019 and observes that the 3000 HV-series which first appeared in 2013 needed a refresh. The truth is every manufacturer has challenges. It can be tough to find sufficient cash to drive marketing programs and fund investment in new products in an environment where many manufacturers are experiencing increased costs and declining revenues. Some manufacturers are forced to reconsider market focus, market engagement models and even sometimes sadly consider business cessation.

There is certainly a history here that many are unaware of. I really wish the new distributor the best of luck. He’s a quality guy representing a quality product.

Building a successful business is not easy. It requires much more than an enthusiastic founder/guru who can build a killer device.
