    McIntosh 2205

My Mac 2205 amp was purchased when I was in college. It’s been in the attic for 25 years and is in bad shape, it also appears to have been dropped at one point. I know I can have the amp repaired and the broken glass replaced. BUT- the plastic bezel that surrounds the meters is broken, and no parts available.

Does anyone manufacture them?? Any idea where to find one.

    Thanks
    Sam

Sorry to hear, I would search Audiogon and other online places (eBay etc...) to maybe find one with a good set of meters that is for parts only, authorized service/ repair shops can also be of help. I inherited all my dads vintage Macs (2105/2205/c28/mc50s) and had them all serviced before hooking anything up to them, some repairs on the c28 were 3d printed due to the same issue... no parts available any longer. Good luck with this quest.

If you haven't contacted Audio Classics in Vestal, NY -- they may have that bezel (just doesn't show up on their web page). They have the glass on their web site for $199; however, when I had MC30's/MC75's, MC275's & MX110's and was looking for parts, their website was time deficient on updating. There is a gorgeous & brand new MC2205 glass on ebay for $299. NOS McIntosh glass is hard to come by, now & then in every blue moon, McIntosh does have available stenciled glass for their legacy products (in years past they contracted it out).

I'd jump on any available glass if available. Good luck on the bezel.

    Best to all,

    Bob

My apologies for miss reading your post, only needing the plastic bezel I found one 3D printed on FB marketplace and at Worthpoint. Unfortunately, I am unable to post links due to my junior status. Google: McIntosh 2205 plastic bezel, Worthpoint is the second link down, Facebook marketplace is the third.

    Happy Hunting.
