Re: Panasonic Beats Plasma Picture Quality with TC-AX800U Series
Think I will stick with my 60 series plasmas until they quit. Should leave plenty of years for more development.

85" would be nice, but it won't be a plasma. ...Nice that Panasonic is pushing the envelope with its AX800 4K LCD LED Series.

Re: Panasonic Beats Plasma Picture Quality with TC-AX800U Series
That's way to big for my usage. The 65" is my limit and by the time my plasmas give up the ghost who knows what the improvements will be. Not a big movie person. Most of my TV watching is sports or the few Network shows I care about.

Re: Panasonic Beats Plasma Picture Quality with TC-AX800U Series
Twenty years ago I thought that 31-36" was the biggest size I should get (I got a 31"). ... Before that I got a 20" one (Sony for $900); 1985.
Five years ago a 60-65" seemed to be the equivalent (got a 60", and ten years ago I got a 50").
Anything between 70 and 90" sounds like the right size today and next year.
* Cell phones (screens) started at 1-2", now they're at 6-7". ...Tablets at 10". ...Cars? ...At $10 million!~ Bob ~

I just ordered a 106" screen to replace my 92". The 65" rptv looks puny in comparison. If I had the room I would have gone even bigger but there is no more room between my Acoustats. Go big or go home.

Go the biggest size your room can accommodate. ...And for some people it is front projection territory, for others it's flat panels between 60 and 90 inches in diagonal.
Go big or go home, right on Albert!~ Bob ~

Here's something obviously / logically time coming :: Will TVs Replace Front Projection in Dedicated Home Theaters?
* Now, are they going to compete price wise, because some excellent front projectors you can have for five grands or less.
