    Cable Box Power Supply

Most of us have spent a far amount of time and money on AC to our HiFi systems. I have always believed the $6 power supply to my Xfinity cable boxes do more harm than good. They are 12v 3 amp. Anybody had experience / recommendations?

I find this a very interesting question.
Also very logical seeing as how the modem is the first electrical item in the chain of our streaming system.
Surprised that there are not any responses.

I have though the same too, but both my Modem and Router have 120 in so It would take work cracking them open to insert linear. I assume it would help? Not sure. I hear many people say it helps their NAS so why not the modem and router?
