Myrtle Blocks
Any users of the Ayre Mrytle Blocks, particularly on the Lumin and it's psu?
Any comparisons with the Still Points?

Re: Myrtle Blocks
I have not tried "Ayre Myrtle Blocks", but really like Stillpoints under my Lumin. I firmly believe all digital sources benefit greatly from mechanical isolation.

Re: Myrtle Blocks
Sold Stillpoints off after listening to Shun Mook diamond resonators - large tuned ebony blocks with a diamond in the tip. Take them along whenever I visit other audiophiles and so far have a 100% strike rate in impressing friends, if they have stillpoints, symposium, finite elemente, etc. One guy reported it better than his SRA, I have heard it sound better than SRA, and another guy with an SRA rack has bought them as well.
Can't use them under speakers though unless custom made.

Re: Myrtle Blocks
Mike, Which Stillpoints are you using-- the Ultra mini or Ultra SS? And are using them under the Lumin PSU also?

Re: Myrtle Blocks
It's almost impossible to get a set of Giants (the top of the line) used - ex-dem is the best bet. The next one down are also excellent, the Ultra. These do come up used, and there were two pairs a few months ago - cuntigh from WBF must have picked up one of them, I think. I assume the email you sent was to shunmook@gmail.com - he is usually good at replying.
Let me know what email you are using to contact him, I will follow up separately to bring it to his notice.

Re: Myrtle Blocks
Mike, Do you include the Lumin psu and your nas also as digital sources, or just the lumin player?

Re: Myrtle Blocks
I tried a bunch of things under my Ayre CD player, but damn if I didn't come back to those myrtle blocks in the end. Just sounds more organic.

You should ask your dealer to bring the CH stuff he wants to sell you for home audition in your system. IMO there is no way to tell what will sound better in your system.
