    Re: Turntables Gallery

Pioneer vintage Classic TT (forgot the famous model number); five dollars at the Salvation Army (was $25 but I'm good at dealing).
    * Audio Technica brand new cart for $100 ($150 retail).

Sony Linear Drive TT; five dollars also (brand new was $600 Cdn). ...I restored it myself, fixed the cable for the drive, put a new cartridge ($50 Audio Technica), and good to go.

    Tra-la-la ....

P.S. Pictures? I'll post pictures of both sometimes.
But they won't be as pretty as the other ones though; and yet they still spin my albums with zest.

    Versa Dynamics

OK, so these are not the sexiest out there but noteworthy to me as I made and assembled most of the machined parts in John Bicht's original prototypes and first MFG runs of the early Vacuum Platter turntables. Aside from the wood and electrical boxes, I made almost every other part you can see in these two pictures.

The best part of this turntable is that it addresses a problem no other manufacturer has addressed before or since. That is its ability to correct for records with off center hole punches.
