Hi Guys,
I purchased this Sony PS-x555es some months ago and it amazes me.
Have any of you had the pleasure of listening to a BioTracer?
It tracks like a CD (AT 750SH cart,) and even 118 dB+ 20-80 Hz bass doesn't make it flinch.
I had some resonance issues but I placed this marble base under it with some dampening (springs, and a rubber mat,) and now it doesn't pick up anything but the record track.
If you can pick one up cheap (I paid $300 for a 8/10 iteration,) then it's a no-brainer.
I've compared it to some Regas (planar 6 and others,) Marantz TT-15S1, a VPI Avenger Reference, and the Sony sounds better and beats off resonance at a much high caliber.
Thanks for reading, and good luck in your Audiophile adventure!
