Holly Schiit A Turntable

Yes cool TT. To bad is it not semi auto. I keep thinking about upgrading from my Thorens TD-145 but I love the semi auto feature.

You have to love the guys at Schiit. Schiitr, SOL and lets not forget the Schiit Fulla DAC. Marketing genius.

Chris.......Thanks for the link to the SOL turntable reveal. It looks like an interesting turntable, although I am not a fan of unipivot tonearms. I'm not too big on their word play either. I'm sure the Schiit boys think the innuendos used are cute but they leave me a bit cold. Effective marketing? Perhaps, but it isn't working for me. It strikes me as crude.

Look like another great Schiit item.

Some people might not like the company because of the name or they way they do their marketing. But IMHO they are a great company. Too many audio manufacturers take themselves way to serious. Audio is a hobby and should be fun. Not just the domain of boring grey man that think, Krall, Barber and Jones are the 2nd comming.

Chris: Thanks for the links. Watched and read both. Very excited about a Schiit turntable. This is a company that doesn’t make Schiit. Anyone that doesn’t buy this turntable is SOL(Schiit out of Luck).

Cute concept and marketing but like Dan not a fan of uni-pivot tonearms as the quick demise of the VPI Traveler was another example in a "lower cost" table using that type of arm. I will stick with my TT-101 based big JVC direct drive table. Not finicky about set-up and works every time with electronically damped tonearm and auto-return as a bonus. If it ever fails I have the Denon DP-62L as a back-up.
