    Highendguy.. !!! BEAUTIFUL TABLE !!! Serious !

I have to ask you a serious question. Does someone (like yourself) buy a $15K turntable for its beauty (like buying fine art) or because you feel it is more precise than say a 2K or 3K turntable ?

Do you feel the same way when you upgrade from a jetta to a Porsche ?
It's not only about how nice it looks, it has to perform better than a 2k TT or is just a bad investment.
    That's my 2c

    Tonearm

    <
    Bearing:

    • Dual-pivot design replaces the standard gimbaled bearing
    • Vertical bearing, similar to a technique used in the rotor heads of helicopters
    • Uses two .5mm thick “spring steel wires,” allowing fine azimuth adjustment while eliminating bearing play
    • Horizontal axle is a hardened tool steel, precision ground to a backlash-free git with a needle roller bearing
    • It is extremely precise, maintenance free, and never requires adjustment

    Armwand:

    • Aircraft quality
    • Anodized aluminum tube for resonance control
    • 12 gram effective mass

    Counterweight:

    • 2-piece with Teflon decoupled sleeve

    Copper Internal Wiring:

    • Multiple gauges of high quality copper

    Magnetic Anti-skating:

    • Decoupled via ring magnet and 2-bar magnets
    • Magnetic fields isolated in our patented bearing housing

    VTA:

    • Precision locking system allowing easy adjustment during play

    Armboard:

    • Machined solid aluminum
    • Bayonet mount with overhang calibration
    • Pre-cut for AMG and Graham fixed mount
    • Custom cutouts available

    You are very welcome!

I don't know anything about turntables (yet) but I would love to own this one. It's stunning and looks like it's easy to setup. If it were me. Jump on it.

ps I'm just going from my gut.

Jeff is the turntable guru, so let's hope he has time to help. The AMG seems like a great one, there's also the Clearaudio Innovation, great choices from SME, and I'm sure many others near that price range.

It's on my short list. The reviews are stellar. With a subfloor room like mine, I need a table with mass vs springs. I'm also looking at the ClearAudio Innovation Wood w/Universal Tone Arm and Lyra Kleos. Also want to keep an eye on VPI's new offering.

Jeff (Tone Pub) told me to stick with my current table, get a new arm (SME V) and a Lyra Kleos and spend the rest of LP's! Not a bad suggestion.....but I do think a table with mass will be better for my room. Sub floors are not ideal for spring based tables IMO.

If anyone in Florida is interested in my TT setup....let me know....I could let it go for a fair price. . I will post details later in the marketplace.

Mike...if you install a tt shelf on the wall, then there will be no issues with footfalls no matter what your subfloor is made of. You just screw in the shelfs into wall studs and your table will be fully isolated from footfalls and any floor based vibration. There are many wall shelf options from a few hundred to a few thousand. I think this will easily solve your issue. Of course if you just have the itch to change tables that is a different issue but with regards to isolation the wall shelf is easily the best fix (much cheaper than pouring a concrete floor or buying a new table ).

I would like to see a gorgeous wall shelf for a high end turntable. (post please). I think that is the answer to foot faults. At first I thought that above TT was a pipe humidor but when I realized it wasn't I found it strangely attractive. But of course I think MT10 is attractive so I'm easy. Kidding aside that TT has a lot going for it. If I was in the market I would defineately consider it.

Here is the Pagode I have, right down to the color. Got it two years ago and it remains in the box because I don't have wall space enough to accommodate it. It is bigger in person than photos make it look like.

One of my favorites...and even though the SACD version is exceptional....vinyl version still rules. I'm going to send him some Duke Ellington.
