I would rather try a variety of cartridges to find the one for you combined with optimizing the rest of the analog chain including the phono stage and the sensitive cabling involved.

Bob, I traded up to a Turbo arm from the standard one for my V12 and the difference was a significant and worthwhile one. The Turbo arm is beautifully engineered and works seamlessly with the V12 turntable. Adjustments are much easier to make than with the standard arm. I agree with Marcus's comments above. I can't see why you would risk an incompatible match trying something else.

Thanks for your comments. I've not heard from anyone that has made the upgrade that didn't feel it was worth the investment. I expect I'll be placing my order soon.

I just swapped out the 12JT arm as there’s some issue with the cables.

While the 12JT arm performs at a very high level, better arms do exist

Issue with cables on the 12JT, or the Durand? How does the Durand mate with the Viella?

    Re: AMG v12 TURNTABLES

How to remove the platter, in case the turntable needs to be leveled? I tried few different ways, but I wasn't able to remove the platter. Any suggestions is appreciated.

    Re: AMG v12 TURNTABLES

The platter can get a bit stuck due to vacuum I believe. Grab it firmly, pull straight up and turn it from side to side carefully until it slides loose.

(And for sure, the cable attachment is much more straightforward than the 12JT. Having the cable need to fit under the table and then turn 90 degrees to get the DIN plug up into the tonearm tower is a weakness in the design of the AMG arm, as is having the arm base free to rotate when adjusting VTA.)

There is also a piece of black plastic around the spindle that has to be removed first. But no doubt, it is a PITA to remove the platter. I’ve cursed at it many times!
