As I mentioned in an earlier thread while in Florida last month I finally got around this year to catching up with Mike B. @ Suncoast (sorry Brad we didn't get together, a bout with Afib got in the way) and while visiting and listening to music with Mike I made a purchase of the Degritter Ultrasonic RCM. My tried and true VPI 16.5 is now relegated to back up and perhaps initial 'grunge cleaning' of used record finds.
For those that have this unit you know of its ease of use and IMO outstanding capabilities. The testing of which I cleaned my Eric Clapton 'Slow Hand' after playing it and definitely discerned a further improved noise floor. Is it perfect and did it magically remove every surface imperfection from a nearly 50 year old Lp, of course not. It simply took the 'clean' to another level that the VPI couldn't.
Call me a happy camper, Thanks again Mike !
Now, hopefully my upcoming ablation will take care of my Afib once and for all !
