    DIN to RCA or DIN to XLR cable

    the phono stage is fully balanced. (Simaudio 810)
    which tonearm cable will be better?
    DIN to RCA or XLR?
    (I'm using XLR cable on the output of the 810)

    DIN to XLR.

    As far as I understand a MC cartridge is balanced by nature. Also I think XLR connectors are much nicer from a technical point of view. I have no XLR in my system but I like the design of a connector that locks into place. Just like BNC.

    Yes, if a balanced input on your phono stage...best to use a din to xlr.
