Ansuz X level Cables ......

Well..........I must confess to have been somewhat of a cable non-believer. My theory was if the gauge of the cables was too thin then it might..just might..make a difference.
I use entry level Audioquest King Cobra XLRs, OEM power cords and generic 9Gauge speaker cables. A few months ago I tried out a set of Siltech cables but could really only detect a slight difference when I swapped speaker cables. I opted instead of upgrading cables to upgrade my power management and purchased a Shunyata Denali with an Etron Alpha cord. Nice upgrade I might say....black background and SQ improvement.
FAST FORWARD....I went by SunCoast Audio to listen to some toys and before I left Mike says here try out the Ansuz cables I just received. And against my better judgement thinking that it would be a waste of time...I tell Mike that it was just a clever way to get his cables burned in! Lol
Well I get home and crank up the system and swap out just the Audioquest XLR for the SignalZ X level XLR. I was ready to not hear a difference as before but much to my dismay there was an increase in the liveliness to the music...about as much of an improvement as when I introduced the Denali into my system. Still in a state of disbelief I went back and forth for several hours with the same result.
I then swapped out the power cables for the Ansuz Mainz level X power cables and low and behold the sound quality seemed to get better rounded. Again back and forth for rest of the weekend and further burn in confirmed that all the Ansuz cables contributed a noticeable improvement to the sound quality of my system. By Monday I had placed my order for a pair of Ansuz X level XLRs and 3 power cables. Next on my to do list is test their Aes/ebu and speaker cables.
I am trying to make sense of why the Siltechs didn't do it for me. I am thinking that perhaps the Denali cleaned up my sound to the level where I would be able to hear the difference or perhaps the Ansuz cables are that good in my particular system.
In summary, for the price difference and my budget I am very satisfied with my choice and as a recent cable convert I highly recommend them.

Stoked about Suncoast Audio grand opening! Picking up my new Ansuz cables that Mike ordered for me! A fun day it's going to be.

Larry - I have more Ansuz cables for you to try. A bunch came in yesterday. Speaker cables. Longer IC's. Digital.

My wife is getting fancy deserts from a local Italian bakery for tomorrow.

Resistance is futile x 2.

Dang fancy pants! With fancy deserts!
i better get there early so I can back in my SUV to your front door for easier loading huh!:celebrate008_2:

Well Larry, I'm glad that your system is able to show the diference between cables, and considering the components that you have I did not expect anything else.
In fact audio specialists (those who have experimented with various solutions to improve the sound quality of their systems as well as switching components) consider that the accessories are as important as the components of the system and I agree. I suggest you also try anti-vibration devices and fuses, they are equally important.
