Would a D2 be an upgrade to Simaudio 430HAD DAC?

Wondering how much of an "upgrade" it would be going from the built-in DAC on my 430HAD headphone amp to a D2?
 
I have experience with both the Simaudio Moon 430HAD and Lumin D2. They're very different sounding so whether or not you would consider the D2 an upgrade would really depend on what you're looking for.

What aspect of the sound character or quality are you looking to improve upon?
