Early this month I a new oaken fishbone floor was installed in my living room. Now I'm a bit worried about scratches when I move my speakers, Raidho X3. Does anyone have tips for preventing scratching my floor.

My first idea was putting felt strips underneath the speakers. But I'm not sure if that will affect the sound quality.

All tips and ideas are welcome.

I buy them by the case for the store. Even have them under the spikes on the racks.

I have the Herbies gliders under my speakers and rack. They work very well and are reasonably priced.

Another satisfied Herbies customer. Not only did I easily slide my 150# Salon2s on them, I left them under the speakers for excellent decoupling.
However, while you can slide all speakers on the Herb's, not all speakers will sound their best if you leave the pucks underneath. My YGs hated them.

SO I have bought some Herbie's Giant Fat Glider.

Do they have any influence on the sound? Not so sure. However I can move my speakers now without scratching my wooden floor :)

I never noticed a sq difference from herbies gliders themselves. They do, however, allow me to pull the speakers out from the wall after the wife goes to bed, and then things sound much better.
