Hello to all...
I've searched the 'net' for about 2 years now and continue to come up with virtually nothing about the Wolze Triode Line Level 1 Preamp I bought used.
Tube preamp, 6 inputs; only volume and balance controls; no phono.
Found one sold on audiogon with a little bit of info (info follows):
"Wolze Hardware is better known for his tube phono stage, but he also designed this pure tube line stage.
It was sold as a kit and this one was built by me. It's about 9 years old. Only 10 kits were made so it's rather rare.
Tube complement is 2 Cifte 12AU7s, and 2 Tung Sol EF86s, which are all nearly new.
I compared the sound to my Audio Research LS25 and I think the Wolze is at least as good, if not better."
I have tried to find/contact Dave Wolze to no avail (I believe he lives somewhere in Calif and is still designing equipment); there is some info about the Phono Preamp that he made/designed in kit form but nada about this preamp...
Anyone know about this preamp? or how to contact Dave Wolze? More importantly: Does anyone have one?
Any info would be appreciated... ENJOY YOUR MUSIC. Best Wishes. Bill
2/24/14 Got a return call from the Calif Historical Radio Society, giving me an email address for Mr Wolze (he's a member); anyone else need it, please contact me.
2.25/14 Dave Wolze answered my email - cryptically - but at least I know this email contact works...
