Windows 10 Anniversary Update

I am waiting on the Anniversary Update to be pushed to my computers. One of the changes I am looking forward to is Windows Defender being able to work simultaneously with an owner installed security package. As it is right now, it is one or the other. This change will allow both security suites to operate without conflict to shadow each other.

I am also looking forward to the improved Windows Calendar, accessed by left clicking on the time and date in the lower right hand corner. The new version will allow a much larger calendar to appear and will allow appointments and events to be entered and displayed.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update looks to be a nice enhancement to an already excellent operating system.

Thank you for the updates Dan. I am looking forward the the update myself.

Just a quick note from Gordon Rankin over on AA:

All,

Warning Microsoft damaged the USB drivers in Windows 10 Anniversary edition and everyone is complaining about BAD SOUND.

We have contacted the Windows Sound group and they are aware of the problem.

Thanks and you can go back to your regularly scheduled programming!
Gordon

Jim.......Uh Oh! Thanks for the information. Hopefully this issue will get solved before the update is released wide scale.

airbubble.......Thanks for that link. I am no longer feeling warm and fuzzy. I need to figure out how to prevent the Anniversary Update from downloading to my office PC. My other two computers are on WiFi connections so I can use the Metered Connection to delay the download. I am going to check out Windows Update Show Hide (wushowhide). https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930
